Overview
We are seeking a talented, motivated and creative candidate who is passionate about working in a fast-paced environment. The Network Administrator reports to the Network Manager and is a member of the Network Development Team. He or she assists Team members with support, maintenance and optimization of core network services, devices, and communications systems. The Jr. Network Engineer will provide IT Helpdesk support remotely, on-site and in-depth troubleshooting. They must resolve cases assigned by department management and ensure case notes are accurate. As a Jr. Network Engineer, you will provide support, troubleshooting and configuring of network services. You will interact with employees and engineering all over the world to accomplish specific tasks. You will also be responsible for networking issues local and abroad if they may arise on your shift. Some travel may be required between sites. You will maintain diagrams, and charts and documentation as required.
Responsibilities
Provide high level customer support via Help Desk, remote access and onsite.
Troubleshoot VPN, Remote Access.
Monitor network and resolve issues related to LAN / WAN connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls, and other security products.
Document actions taken to resolve issues, client contact information, network diagrams.
Interface with employees on the phone and in person.
Ensures case notes are up to date and management is informed on updates with critical cases.
Performs diagnostics of network issues, provides support for service desk staff.
Updates and maintains network documentation.
Configures network devices for new deployments per direction of senior staff.
Performs diagnostics of network issues.
Provides support for service desk staff.
Provides timely and accurate response to assigned tasks.
Other duties or responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
0-2 Years of Network Administration experience.
CCNA Preferred.
Knowledge of networking features and protocols such as spanning tree, ARP, CDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VTP, Ether-channel, 802.1Q,HSRP, GLBP, VSS/VSL, QoS, TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, MPLS, H.323, QOS, SIP, port security, DMVPN.
HTTP, HTTPS, Multicast, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, IPsec, RADIUS/TACACS , SNMP, and 802.1x.
Knowledge of Network monitoring protocols SNMP, CDP, LLDP, syslog and Netflow.
Knowledge of Cisco Wireless technologies and managed access points.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
Experience supporting Cisco Routers and Cisco Switches.
Technical experience and working knowledge of LAN/WAN operations and protocols.
Understands issues involved in administering and maintaining corporate LAN infrastructure, including network cabling, testing network connectivity, firewall configurations, tablet and desktop internet applications, etc.
Per applicable state requirements, the annual pay range for this position ($69,500 - $99,500) which consists of base salary and target sales incentive (subject to performance), reflects the hiring range for candidates. Also note, an individual’s offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate's hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
