Crestron has an opening for a Business Development, State Local and Education (SLED), RSM to join our Sales team in the Southwest (Southern California, HI) ---- territory This individual will build and maintain strong relationships with SLED accounts and drive sales and opportunity growth within their assigned territory.
In this role, you will be responsible for finding opportunities, cultivating relationships, and working closely with the Channel team to close business. We will look for you to showcase your intuitive interpersonal skills, outstanding organizational abilities, and proven success in building SLED business. · This individual will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities, collaborating with the sales team to provide solutions, driving business back to the re-seller channel and assisting in closing the sale
· In this position, the candidate’s primary responsibility will be to hunt for new SLED accounts/oppotunities in addition to developing and maintaining business within existing accounts and manage complex sales situations and large projects.
· She/He will be responsible for business forecasting, pipeline development and management of accounts
· The candidate will be responsible for developing an executive annual plan for new business development and growth of existing accounts in line with the company strategy
· This individual will be required to develop business relationships with all levels of management within the SLED entities
· The candidate will also train end users on technology products that will advance the development of market solutions.
· The candidate will be essential in developing accounts and selling project-based, hardware and/or software systems solutions.
· Self-motivated driver with a proven track record sales experience in SLED market or equivalent Enterprise and Fed Government sales experience.
· Ability to learn new technologies quickly and passion to succeed in the AV/UC technology sector
· Able to communicate effectively with consultants and engineers
· Experience using Sales CRM/forecasting software - Salesforce CRM preferred
· Working knowledge of Crestron's products and software will be important as you will be demonstrating our products to potential clients, prior experience with AV/Crestron a plus.
· Knowledge of SLED budget processes, procurement policies, IT procurement requirements and facilities management within a large organization
· Valid Driver's License
· College/University degree - preferred.
· Ability to travel throughout your territory in Southern California with travel occasionally to tradeshows and other parts of the territory.
Per applicable state requirements, the annual pay range for this position ($140,000 - $180,000) which consists of base salary and target sales incentive (subject to performance), reflects the hiring range for candidates performing the role. Also note, an individual’s offer may vary from this range as it may be impacted by additional factors, including but not limited to the candidate's hiring location, qualifications, experience, and market factors.
