Crestron creates memorable events that others want to match, and everyone wants to attend. We are looking for a Sr. Director, Tradeshow & Events to plan, strategize, produce, and execute over 100 customer and sales employee facing internal in-person and (as needed) virtual events in a calendar year from conception through completion.
This role will require you to showcase your strong intuitive interpersonal skills, outstanding organizational and negotiating skills, and proven leadership to own, manage all project delivery elements within time limits. While managing the myriad of details that comes with event planning, you will be required to provide excellent customer service to the internal business owners/stakeholders while increasing efficiency and maximizing workflow. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing Crestron’s brand experiential marketing activities that produces memorable events that meet quality expectations and generate leads that drives sales.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the overall strategy for trade shows and events, aligning with company goals and objectives.
Event planning, design and production while managing all project delivery elements with business owners, product teams, content, and creative teams in the allowable timeframe.
Investigate, present & negotiate other opportunities at tradeshows that align with marketing strategies beyond the exhibit. Nurture relationships with Show Management and vendors to leverage sponsorships, training, and special customer events.
Tracks event performance metrics, analyzes data, and provides reports to management on event ROI and effectiveness.
Liaises with internal partners to produce event collateral, communications assets, RSVP lists, media, scriptwriting, and reports.
Manage a supporting team that includes tradeshow and event managers, supporting staff and technical team to deliver tradeshow & events flawlessly.
Manage & execute sales enablement sponsorships including but not limited to the New York Giants
Improve upon existing internal & external SOP to improve output, define ownership, set clear expectations, enhance accountability and strengthen relationship with key internal teams and outside vendors
Prepare and manage budgets and ensure adherence.
Liaise with contract specialists and legal counsel prior to contract execution.
Organize facilities and manage all event’s details and logistics such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, communication, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc.
Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations.
Specify staff requirements and coordinate their activities pre-show and at the event, including preshow training, staff webinars and on-site training
Conduct pre- and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes and periodic reports to stakeholders.
Attendance capture and distribution to ensure CRM (Salesforce) compliance for proper post event ROI.
Collaborate with Corporate Travel Manager for any/all travel arrangements.
Collaborate with Finance Team with budgeting, forecasting and reporting, including crew spend analysis.
Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day.
Research event marketing trends, technologies to enhance our current and new programs and event quality. Other duties or responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field (Marketing, Business or Communication).
10 plus years experience (the experience is more important than the formal degree
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with a strong attention to detail.
Service oriented style with professional presentation skills.
Clear concise written and verbal communication skills, sales skills and the ability to build productive business relationships.
Ability to bring new ideas and approaches while keeping an eye on marketplace trends and opportunities for improvement.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Ability to travel to events during the year and site visits (25%). In order to travel must be fully vaccinated.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, Salesforce, web-based registration portals, survey capture programs. Microsoft Teams and Zoom platform experience for hosting virtual meetings

Evaluate current tradeshow & events plans to ensure constant alignment with marketing campaigns & initiatives.
Conceptualize event themes, exhibit designs, and overall vision.
Develop tradeshow & event plans, timelines, and budgets.
Manage tradeshow & event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and staffing.
Determine & build
Oversee event setup, execution, and post-event cleanup.
Ensure events run smoothly and meet client objectives.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage event budgets, allocating funds effectively.
Monitor expenses and ensure the event stays within budget.
Negotiate contracts and secure favorable pricing with vendors.
Vendor & Supplier Management:
Identify, select, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors,suppliers and show organizers/management
Oversee the delivery of services and ensure quality standards.
Communication & Client Relations:
Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
Gather client feedback and address their needs and concerns.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, internally & externally
Marketing & Promotion:
Promote events through various channels, including email, social media,PR, advertising, web and print & digital content to ensure effective event coverage and communication across all channels
Develop sales & marketing support materials and promotional strategies.
Track event attendance and measure the success of events.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans.
Address any issues or problems that arise during the event.
Ensure the safety and security of event attendees.
Post-Event Analysis:
Evaluate the success of events and identify areas for improvement.
Gather feedback from attendees, stakeholders and show management
Use data and insights to improve future event planning and execution.
Present results to Marketing Global Teams and executive leadership
Share full event plans & assets with Marketing, Experience Centers and customer-facing teams to ensure the marketing strategies and messaging aligns globally.
