Core Responsibilities :
- Provide legal counsel and support on a broad range of legal issues related to health law compliance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, employment law, and business litigation.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Oversee the completion of projects including planning, assigning, monitoring, reviewing progress and accuracy of work, and evaluating results.
- Assist in due diligence for domestic and international mergers and acquisitions.
- Work with business counterparts, both domestically and internationally, to identify and provide advice regarding legal risks and issues.
- Assist executive management with other legal needs of the company as necessary and contribute to the overall legal function of an international company.
- Develop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with the company's business, its people, products, technology, markets, customers and competitors in order to assist the company in meeting overall business objectives;
- Provide training and make presentations to company personnel regarding legal issues;
- Perform legal research when and as necessary to resolve legal issues and determine the appropriate course of action regarding a particular issue or case.
