Director- Quality Assurance

Job Summary:

RTC is seeking a Director of Quality Assurance to lead our organization globally in implementing quality management and assurance practices that eliminate errors, enhance processes, reduce total costs, and improve customer satisfaction. This individual will develop, implement, and sustain the systems and procedures necessary to ensure the delivery of products and services that meet the highest quality standards, while providing expert guidance to senior management staff and maintaining positive communication with RTC’s customers and associates. 

Responsibilities include:

• Leads the global Quality Assurance organization. Provides direction and coordination for all QC/QA activities and other functions affecting product or service quality.
• Ensures there is a definition of the Corporate Quality Program that meets customer requirements, clearly recognizes that everyone is responsible for quality, provides a roadmap for improvement, fosters quality activities, and results in meeting or exceeding market requirements.
• Develops strong working relationships with others in the organization to influence their activities in the quality effort. Provides advice and guidance to management to integrate quality management practices into the company’s ongoing operations.
• Remains highly knowledgeable about issues and trends in quality management. Stays informed about customer and industry quality standards.
• Influences quality and productivity improvements through involvement in developing new and improved procedures, process innovations, and changes in corporate culture.
• Develops and maintains a sound organizational structure, staffed with qualified personnel, to perform all quality control activities. Establishes standards for measuring the performance of the quality control function.
• Manages the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree by which the company’s quality goals and objectives are being met; provides management with the results and recommends any corrective action that may be required.
• Interfaces with design, engineering, and manufacturing to establish quality requirements on individual products and services based on customer need, the function of the product, and its reliability, salability, and value; ensures that quality considerations are properly addressed as early as possible in the product-design stage.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on managing a global quality assurance program.
• Proven success in maintaining an organization-wide quality system (i.e., ISO 9001).
• A thorough understanding of the methodology and tools used in measuring quality performance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with an adaptive and flexible personality.
• In-depth knowledge of process analysis, standardization, improvement, and redesign.
• Results-oriented leader willing to take responsibility for driving change and challenging the status quo. 
• Ability to think strategically regarding quality and its impact on the organization. 
• Practical knowledge of analytical tools and problem-solving methodology.

 Compensation

The base salary range for this position is budgeted at $136,240-$171,720, with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary depends on various factors and may be above or below the specified range, depending on the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, business needs, and market demand. The full salary range for this role reflects this position's competitive labor market value and provides an opportunity to progress as associates grow and develop within the role.  Bonuses are paid based on RTC’s financial results.  Any payouts awarded in the first year of employment are pro-rated based on the start date.  Program rules are subject to change at management’s discretion.
