As the Corporate Security Officer, you will be responsible for general safety and security of employees, customers, vendors and visitors.
Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Alarms / Badges
- Follow policies, procedures and protocols that safeguard the Bank’s employees and premises against risk of unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism and criminal activity.
- Oversee security equipment installation and maintenance with vendors.
- Badge system maintenance – entering new employees or vendors, processing transfers and removing terminated employees. For new employees or vendors or changes for existing employees, ensure the request is appropriate/reasonable (following least privileges guidelines).
- Perform badge database audits by location.
- Review alarm system notifications timely; problem solve or create a ticket for correction. Monitor to ensure tickets are completed timely.
- Review badge access activity by location to proactively identify problems.
- Complete or oversee monthly alarm tests for the Main Office campus.
- Remotely apply alarm software updates, firmware and security patches to all locations.
- Track monthly alarm tests performed by location. Follow up with locations that haven’t completed their testing.
Cameras
- Perform live camera checks of main campus locations at least monthly.
- Review recorded video checks for locations at least monthly.
- Review camera alerts timely and create tickets for correction.
- Remotely apply NVR software updates, firmware and security patches to all locations.
- Track camera audits performed by location. Follow up with locations that haven’t completed their testing.
- Provide pictures or video for law enforcement after robberies, criminal activities, etc.
Other
- Rotate on-call (24/7/365) duties for alarms. Decide to dispatch police or cancel alarms based on the information provided and review of cameras, if possible.
- Follow up on all alarms and alerts early the next morning to ensure they were indeed false alarms. If cleaners or vendors habitually cause false alarms, report it to Facilities and the Security Manager.
- Review false alarm reports and take or assign quizzes, as appropriate, to avoid false alarm fees. If an employee habitually causes false alarms, provide additional training and/or escalate the concern.
- Assist with security investigations at the direction of the security manager or chief risk officer.
- Schedule and coordinate equipment installations with vendors. Assist with programming of the system with vendor.
- Monitor local news (for all three markets) for relevant bank security matters. Share as appropriate.
- Document procedures and security response standards. Make recommendations for changes to the security manager and director for robbery packets, security policies and practices.
- Maintain confidential security records and reports.
- Review requests for access to secure areas for appropriateness.
- Assist with executive protection as needed.
- All other administrative duties and special projects for security departments or ERM division.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Armed status required
- CCDW or similar credentials
- High School diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in a banking environment or law enforcement a plus. Experience with security systems and equipment a plus.
- Technologically savvy to efficiently and effectively navigate the alarm, badge, camera and audit systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
- Analytical person, detailed oriented, results driven and fast paced. Able to manage and prioritize multiple requests in a short time frame.
- Ability to be flexible with unplanned tasks and responsibilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Assist with sensitive investigations, requiring discretion.
- Trusted team member with confidential or sensitive information.
- Excellent business communications and ability to develop positive working relationships with all levels of employees and vendors.
