As a Loan Pre-close Processor, you will participate in data gathering, document verification and disclosure delivery for Consumer Lending products by performing a pre-closing review of submitted applications and document requests. Assist Commercial, Private Bankers and Small Business sales team by reviewing and organizing loan request submission and memorializing the documentation in the system of record.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Administrator of the Loan Documentation mailbox, assigning pre closing and doc prep requests.
  • Perform a pre-closing quality review of approved Documentation requests. This is done with a high level of concentration on preventing and eliminating policy, regulatory, and documentation exceptions.
  • Review all regulatory data for incoming requests including HMDA and Flood insurance requirements.
  • Communicate with lender, coordinator, or underwriter to correct any issues found during review.
  • Send customer various pre closing documents by mail or electronic delivery.
  • Order vendor work for Consumer Real Estate requests using various vendor systems.
  • Work with customer, lender, or coordinator to confirm closing dates.
  • Ensure all due diligence as outlined in the approval are moved into the system of record
  • Ensure documentation is complete and accurate and ready for closing
  • Communicate effectively with customers, internal and external, verbally or in writing by answering questions regarding proper closing procedures and protocol.
  • Complete continuing education and training via the use of the Bank’s computer based training classes and other classes and seminars as assigned by Department Manager, HR, or Compliance.
  • Order due diligence items needed for Consumer Lending Products
  • Assign loan numbers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or  GED
  • Minimum of 1 year banking experience preferred.
  • Employees are expected to represent Stock Yards Bank & Trust in a professional manner to customers and outside contacts.  Employees must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, consisting of the ability to write and speak effectively to others. Employees must be a productive team player, with the ability to learn, apply training and comprehend policies and procedures. Employees should also be flexible to changing working situations and able to meet deadlines as they arise. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Comfortable working towards deadlines
  • Detail-oriented
  • Concentration on a team atmosphere with a high level of customer service to our lenders and their support staff
  • Dependability with a follow through attitude
  • Knowledge of HMDA, Flood, CRA, Reg O, Reg U, Articles 5 & 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code

While performing the functions of this job, the employee will continually communicate with coworkers or customers. The employee will constantly position themselves to sit or stand, and occasionally move around the office to access filing cabinets or office machinery. The employee will constantly operate a computer, using repetitive movements of hands and fingers, and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.  The employee will frequently identify, observe and assess materials and information, visually or otherwise. The employee will frequently be required to lift or carry up to 10 pounds, and occasionally be required to lift or carry 11 – 50 pounds, with assistance if needed.

Employees must also have the ability and means to travel as necessary for the purpose of attending training, meetings, and other various business functions.
