SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
It is the responsibility of the Facilities, Maintenance Technician to facilitate the routine preventative maintenance and repair of the Company equipment and facilities. The Facilities, Maintenance Technician will maintain a working understanding of plant production processes, equipment systems, and facilities in order to perform such maintenance effectively; and will work closely with management, engineers, quality control, and safety personnel to perform in compliance with all governmental regulations and safety procedures. The Facilities, Maintenance Technician will perform modifications and repairs to facility, properties, equipment and furniture, and assists in the maintenance and upkeep of the general facility, including custodial functions.

Must be able to train on 1st for a few months then move to 12hour rotating 7p-7a nightshift
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for facility modifications and repair, encompassing electrical, plumbing, painting and light construction. Assures that these functions are performed in compliance with workplace safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and all applicable federal, state and local regulations, to the extent that the employee is aware of from discussions with the supervisor and training received.
- Maintain a working understanding of plant production processes, equipment, systems, and facilities in order to perform maintenance effectively, under general direction.
- Interact with, monitor and assist outside contractors and vendors in conjunction with their projects.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilities in accordance with the company's Maintenance Schedule and SOPs.
- Use machine tools, hand tools, and other tools of the trade to work with a variety of materials within prescribed tolerances, as directed.
- Cutting and installing insulation by using knife or scissors.
- Install and remove bottom valve.
- Cutting hose with knife and then use side cutters to cut wire.
- Recommend and implement methods to increase the quality of products and/or services.
- Participates in self-development activities and training of others.
- Exhibits safety awareness and safe work practices.
- Performs other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business or as requested by supervisor or management.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
- Associates Degree in an electrical or mechanical discipline preferred, or appropriate trade certification and at least 2 years of experience in maintenance and/or machine repair
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to coordinate a number of diverse responsibilities
- Chemical Hygiene Training
- Must be able to train on 1st for a few months then move to 12hour rotating 7p-7a nightshift
Language/Communication Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Pay $27.70
