The Enterprise Application Lead is responsible for administration and support of the ERP, Instructional Applications, and other enterprise applications. They oversee ERP Business Analysts, providing the technical leadership, planning and guidance for the maintenance, implementation or upgrade of applications. This multi-faceted and hands-on management role is responsible for executing the overall strategy of the Enterprise Applications team and will lead all activities related to the development and management of University applications. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, and overseeing the direction, coordination, evaluation and training of employees. Additionally, provide advice, guidance and assistance, leading internal meetings, representing the enterprise solutions team in communications with other functional areas and attend meetings as needed.
The Enterprise Applications Lead will analyze required data and compile reports as necessary to maintain department standards and help guide OIT leadership decisions. The position will partner with the University community to address outstanding issues and manage the customer service relationship, including principal subject matter experts to promote the utilization / adoption of existing application infrastructure, demonstrating exemplary leadership and teamwork skills, positive attitude, and accountability to Dynamic Campus core values. Additionally, the position will ensure all development and team activities are following the departmental and university policies.
Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm. Hours may vary. (This position is hybrid)
Responsibilities :
- Provide administrative leadership for enterprise-wide application development, application support of all 3rd party business and administrative solutions, integration and software quality assurance; coordinate with vendors in the development, installation, and troubleshooting of application systems, software and development to enhance the effectiveness of the ERP and supported applications.
- Provide leadership and coordination to administration, instructional, and technical committees identifying systems and programming functionality, needs analysis, and define application development and timelines.
- Promotes technology innovation by identifying and researching new and relevant technologies.
- Installation and delivery of applications software
- Support Information Technology and Security in NIST 800-171 related practices to ensure the security and protection of university assets and data.
- Manage business solutions vendor relationships which includes escalations, support, and monitoring end of life applications and ensure there is a replacement strategy. This excludes price and contract negotiations handled by OIT leadership.
- People Management and Coaching.
- Oversee departmental training and developmental activities that cover a variety of topics. Leading the development of criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.
- Encourage professional growth and foster cooperation amongst staff members and departments.
- Plan, organize, and establish priorities, schedules, goals, and objectives for the Enterprise Applications Team.
- Partner with and provide feedback to OIT Leadership, and ensure proactive communication and cohesive working relationships with all other departments.
- Lead team meetings and attend meetings with external and / or internal liaisons as necessary.
- Manage departmental workflow, allocate key activities and manage vacancy scheduling.
- Answer staff questions and resolve escalated issues.
- Conduct audits to assess effectiveness of controls, accuracy of departmental records, and efficiency of operations.
- Monitor staff compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Provide performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- Ability to present and explain complex technical topics, problems and alternative solutions to others.
- Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork and records.
- Assist in vendor software upgrades and customization projects.
