POSITION: Assembler
GRADE: N/A SHIFT: Day Shift
REPORTS TO: Assembly Team Leader DIRECT REPORTS: None
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate production machines and equipment within acceptable practice.
- Meets established production standards.
- Make machine set-ups as requested.
- Perform minor maintenance on machines and equipment, including lubrication and minor maintenance checks.
- Keep machine and work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
- Exercise safe working habits while operating machines.
- Accurately report daily activities on work orders, schedules and other media as required.
- Must be able to operate material handling equipment such as, but not limited to forklifts, overhead hoists and cranes, pallet jacks, etc.
- Must understand how to use sales acknowledgments with production work orders.
- Must be able to use a Bill of Materials to build units with proper materials and parts.
- Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.
- Other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited school.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to read and write legibly.
- Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions.
- Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment.
