What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Lead - 2nd Shift position at Careers @ Hendrickson?
Area of Accountability:
Work as a member of the Assembly department and in coordination with the Area Lead(s) to train associates in assembly functions while providing guidance and instructions for work in assigned areas.
Major Responsibilities:
· Accountable for quality inspections throughout assembly process.
· Work daily with Area Lead(s) and schedulers to determine Assembly requirements and assist Area Lead(s) to maintain a consistent line flow.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
· Train new associates and re-enforce training with existing employees.
· Insure timely delivery and replenishment of components to minimize downtime.
· Monitor quality and perform periodic audits as assigned to insure compliance.
· Ability to function in Assembly Paint area as assigned.
· Ability to function in the Assembly Packaging area as necessary.
· Must possess a high level of attention to detail.
· Assist Area Lead to insure Assembly lines are staged for oncoming shift.
· Utilize MOS tools.

Qualifications:
· Ability to interpret production schedules and build specifications.
· Ability to work overtime, as production demands require.
· Ability to recognize and identify areas for improvement.
· Competent with all required documentation.
· Solid communication skills.
· Ability to analyze and resolve issues with scheduling changes and line stoppages.
· Wheel-end and Fork Truck Certified.
