What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Handler - 2nd Shift position at Careers @ Hendrickson?
Position Purpose:
Assist in the timely processing of all outbound material issues, incoming material receipts, and supply of necessary production parts to assigned areas of the plant.
Essential Functions:
· Transport production parts to assigned line using tow motor/lift truck.
· Operates reach or fork truck to pick supplies throughout the facility.
· Loads semi-truck and trailer with inventory via PIT.
· Operates auto wrapper to wrap pallets for transport.
· Picks parts from bins to resupply assembly lines.
· Writes information on tracking forms and inputs data in RF scanner.
· Conduct all location transactions for parts delivered to warehouse and /or production lines.
· Assist in resolving data accuracy problems associated with any warehouse transactions.
· Assist in coordinating all quality discrepancies with purchasing and production scheduling personnel.
· Break down cardboard at each department location and feed to bailer.
· Performs 5S housekeeping duties around the work area.
Education and Training
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school.
- Must carry a current fork truck license.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to read and write legibly.
- Ability to function as an effective team member.
- Ability to follow operation procedures and assess problems and recommend solutions to resolve problems.
- Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions.
