COBOL BATCH PROGRAMMER
Position: COBOL Consultant
Duration: 12 months
Position Description:
The successful candidate will function as a COBOL programmer for all development and
maintenance activities required to maintain mainframe application programs.
The successful candidates must possess:
o A minimum of five years extensive batch COBOL programming experience on
mainframe applications.
o A minimum of five years' experience of CICS, DB2, VSAM and JCL
o Strong testing skills
o Strong troubleshooting skills
o knowledge of SAS and Easytrieve programming languages a plus
o A minimum of five years of full project life cycle experience.
Responsibilities include:
o Systems analysis and design, programming, implementation and support.
o Full scale programming, project management and user documentation.
o Working with technical and application support staff to identify/resolve problems.
o Maintaining the change management process for all user and system/application
updates.
Applicants must be responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently and as
part of a team with minimum supervision in a rapidly changing environments.
