Job Summary:
The CT Technologist will provide high-quality imaging services in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring patient care, safety, and comfort during procedures. This position requires expertise in both CT scanning and radiology procedures, as well as knowledge of HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans and operate related equipment with precision.
- Prepare and maintain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring privacy and dignity.
- Verify patient identification and medical records, ensuring accurate and timely procedures.
- Observe patient condition before and after contrast injections, reporting any changes to nursing staff and radiologists.
- Assist in maintaining inventory, cleaning equipment, and following safety protocols.
- Ensure adherence to room assignments, CT procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Maintain the CT unit, ensuring proper cleanliness and functionality.
- Triaging of emergency procedures, coordinating patient transport, and ensuring optimal patient care.
- Notify radiologists of unusual findings to ensure quality care.
Required Education:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Completion of a Radiography Technical Training Program.
- ARRT RT (R) and ARRT RT (CT) certification.
- NJDEP New Jersey State X-Ray License.
- BLS Certification.
- Strong knowledge of CT procedures and radiology.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and emergency procedures.
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA and safety protocols.
