Medical Scribe

• Prepare patient charts prior to visits and accompany the provider during the visit, transcribing visit notes and assisting with documentation related to vitals, medical history and care plans
• Transcribe patient orders, including but not limited to laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
• Work through your paired provider’s task queue: Responding to patient messages, sending letters, completing action items / follow up items from outside facilities, etc.
• Spot mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation and check to correct the information to reduce errors.
• Master our technology suite including but not limited to Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System 1Life, to interact with team members and patients and complete daily work
• Use impeccable C-I-CARE (a framework containing the key elements of a great interaction and effective communication that we use with patients and each other) in all patient interactions and ensure a fluid and positive visit experience.

• At least 6 months of Medical Scribe experience.
• Strong written communication skills including grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and knowledge of medical terminology and shorthand.
• A high comfort level typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systems
• Strong attention to detail, consistent follow through, and ability to spot and correct errors
• Experience working on collaborative, diverse and feedback-driven multi-disciplinary teams
