Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of the company, interacting directly with patients who visit for routine health care or for insights into critical health decisions. This role involves drawing blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while adhering to established practices and procedures. The PSR I plays an essential role in establishing a trustful and confident environment for patients, skillfully and safely explaining procedures and collecting blood specimens with precision.
Under the direction of the area supervisor, the PSR I performs daily activities with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring a safe and professional environment. Responsibilities include forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, maintaining necessary records and documentation, and promoting a positive company image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and in a timely manner under the direction of the area supervisor.

Confidently conduct both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing in accordance with established procedures.

Job Requirements:

Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Capability to work independently with minimal supervision on-site.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexibility and availability to meet staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime when required.
Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical training (e.g., Medical Assistant or Paramedic training) preferred.
Work Experience:

Minimum of 6 months of experience required.

At least one year of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.

Keyboard and data entry experience required.
