Job Title: Patient Services Representative II (PSR II)
Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: San Antonio, TX
Shift/Time Zone:Day time / central time Central zone. M- F : 8-5pm
Duration: 3 Months
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the area supervisor, the Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) performs daily activities accurately, on time, and in accordance with established procedures. The PSR II plays a critical role in representing our company by directly interacting with patients and ensuring a safe and professional environment through high-quality, error-free specimen collection and processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform daily operational tasks efficiently and accurately with minimal supervision.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment at all times.

Provide exceptional patient care by performing high-quality venipuncture and capillary collections, including pediatric and geriatric patients.

Ensure accurate verification of patient identity and demographics; confirm patient initials and obtain signature post-venipuncture to verify that labels were affixed in their presence.

Follow all forensic and clinical specimen collection procedures in compliance with established policies and procedures.

Maintain thorough and accurate documentation and records related to patient interactions and specimen handling.

Promote a positive and professional image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.

Display leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and patient safety.

Flexibly respond to staffing needs including weekends, holidays, overtime, and last-minute schedule changes.

Travel to multiple Patient Service Centers and In-Office Phlebotomy locations as needed, often with minimal notice.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred)
Work Experience: -
3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment (Preferred)

Customer service experience in a retail or service setting (Preferred)

Keyboard/data entry skills required.
