Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI 53051
Duration: May 19, 2025 – August 21, 2025
Shift: 1st shift
Schedule: 5 Days Per Week, 40 Hours Per Week, 64 hours per two-week period. Not always 4 shifts a week – may vary between 5 one week and 3 the next. Includes some weekend rotation and 2 call shifts per month.
Job Summary:

At the direction of a radiologist or other providers, prepares patients and performs radiographic procedures in diagnostic radiology and operates imaging equipment.

Performs diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols while utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures.

Adheres to organizational customer service standards and supports the organizational excellence initiatives.

Provides positive and effective interaction and communication with patients, visitors, and staff.

Performs ancillary services and assists in patient care areas as necessary.

Performs radiologic/fluoroscopic procedures accurately and efficiently with the least amount of discomfort to the patient.

Explains exam to patient and interviews them to obtain personal medical history, documenting this information into RIS.

Provides clear explanation and instruction to patient; assists patient throughout the exam and expresses gratitude after completion.

Provides radiation protection to self and patients in accordance with ALARA and other safety standards.

Appropriately positions patient and selects technical factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images with minimal repeats.

Ensures correct image identification, including ID markers and proper annotation; reviews each study for technical accuracy.

Collaborates with staff for efficient scheduling and patient throughput.

Transports patients as needed; communicates with radiologists and ordering providers for protocol guidance and clarification.

Approves images, matches orders to images, and archives to PACS; accurately performs PACS reconciliations in a timely manner.

Documents fluoro time and estimated skin exposure for fluoroscopy studies.

Demonstrates proficiency with EPIC workflow from order entry/verification to end exam.

Demonstrates flexibility with scheduling and shift rotations, including weekends, call, and holidays.

Offers assistance with preparing exam rooms, stocking, and maintaining cleanliness of work areas.

Provides a teaching and learning environment for staff, students/interns, providers, and visitors; acts as a mentor and supports onboarding of new employees.

Observes and reports malfunctioning equipment, performing minor troubleshooting when possible.

Education:

Required: Post high school completion of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program

Preferred: Additional 1–2 years of college/university coursework or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare-related field

ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology

Current State of WI license as a Radiographer

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or AHA-approved equivalent
