Must have minimum of 2 years of level 2 or greater NICU experience and ideally preceptor ability/experience, RRT credentials required.
ACLS/BLS/PALS Required
"The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care by prescription of the physician. Responsibilities include the diagnostic evaluation (not limited to Obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, performing tests and studies of the cardiopulmonary system), management, education, and rehabilitation and care of the patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. The practice includes the application of technology and the use of treatment protocols across all care sites, including but not limited to the application and monitoring of medical gases and environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronClientulmonary hygiene, pharmacological agents related to respiratory care procedures, cardiopulmonary rehab, hemodynamic cardiovascular support."
