Job Description:
- Monitor Cardiac Patients: Provide continuous monitoring of patients with heart conditions, including vital signs, ECG, and other cardiac parameters.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Administer prescribed medications, manage IVs, and assist with specialized cardiac treatments like pacemaker management or thrombolytics.
- Assist in Diagnostics and Procedures: Assist with diagnostic tests (e.g., ECGs, stress tests) and interventional procedures (e.g., catheterizations) as directed by physicians.
- Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and their families about heart disease, recovery plans, and lifestyle modifications to improve heart health.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with cardiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to create and adjust individualized care plans.
Experience:
- 2 years of experience in relevant unit required.
Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred
Certifications and Licenses:
- RN License of WI or compact state license
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS (AHA) required
