Job Title : Staff RN (Hemato / Onco / BMT)
Location : Milwaukee, WI
Duration : 3 Months / 13 weeks (Possibilities of Extension or temp. to hire)
Shift : Nights, 12-hours, float as needed, every other weekend.
Job Description :
- Patient Care & Monitoring – Provide specialized nursing care for haematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant (BMT) patients, including administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and transfusions while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Care Coordination – Collaborate with oncologists, haematologists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Patient & Family Education – Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, side effects, symptom management, and post-treatment care to promote informed decision-making.
- Symptom Management & Emergency Response – Assess and manage symptoms related to cancer treatments, recognizing and responding to complications such as infections, neutropenia, and graft-versus-host disease.
- Documentation & Compliance – Maintain accurate patient records, adhere to hospital protocols, and follow safety guidelines to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
