Duration: 12 months of Contract with high possibility of extension
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Service Parts Supply Management Planner to join our team in Waterloo. The ideal candidate will ensure the on-time delivery of service parts by collaborating closely with suppliers, buyers, and forecast analysts. This role involves utilizing various management tools and platforms to manage parts supply and performance metrics.Key Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Management: Utilize SPERT, ZMDelinq, and Lights (SAP) to ensure timely delivery of parts by managing these web-based applications and platforms.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with suppliers, buyers, and forecast analysts to manage parts for your assigned commodity.
- Performance Metrics Management: Track and manage key metrics such as FILL rate, On-Time Delivery, Product/Backorder Cycle Time, and Past Due orders to maintain optimal supply chain performance.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain day-to-day communication with business-critical suppliers, analyze supplier performance, and provide feedback on key performance indicators.
- Inventory and Cost Management: Manage inventory for the site or factory, identify discrepancies or issues, and follow existing procedures for resolution. Gather market data to support decisions related to cost drivers, market dynamics, and innovation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of planner experience or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a contingent at Client is a plus.
- Open to recent graduates.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Easily trainable with a strong ability to adapt.
Shift and Hours
- Work Hours: 1st shift, between 6 am and 5 pm (no overtime).
- Travel Requirement: Candidate may need to drive their personal vehicle to other Waterloo sites for meetings.

Major Purpose (Supply Management Planner II)
As a Supply Management Planner II, you will manage the day-to-day performance and relationships with suppliers to support factory operations. You will work with the supply base to drive continuous improvement in quality and delivery.
Major Duties
- Execute planning activities in a low-complexity supply chain system that mainly affects your organization/unit.
- Maintain daily contact with suppliers, responding to incidents, analyzing performance, and providing feedback on supplier management indicators.
- Collect and analyze information related to key cost drivers, market dynamics, innovation, and alternative suppliers for senior management decisions.
- Contribute to reviewing and improving operations in your area of work.
- Support contract performance assessments and contribute to negotiations and renegotiations for new contracts.
- Manage site or factory inventory and follow existing procedures to resolve discrepancies.
- Support stakeholder engagement by coordinating meetings and events.
- Continuously develop your capabilities by participating in training and industry-related activities.
