Job Description

STC is a science and engineering research and services support company with proven expertise and experience spanning research, development, test, and evaluation in areas including aerospace engineering, earth and atmospheric sciences, chemical and biological defense, military systems and technology, and software development.

• Employment Category: Full Time / Exempt
• Location: Dugway Proving Ground, UT
• Travel: None anticipated
• Security Clearance: Secret, or ability to earn

Responsibilities:

Support the testing and analytical requirements of the chemical mission within the West Desert Test Center. Provide support to planning and conducting independent chemical testing using chemical warfare agents, agent simulants, and toxic industrial chemicals and materials. All efforts will be performed at the customer’s facilities on Dugway Proving Ground, UT.

• Work with and around highly toxic materials
• Perform laboratory and field testing of equipment
• Effectively define problems, design experiments, and collect/evaluate test data
• Must be capable of planning and executing a project with nominal guidance.

Bonus points if you have:

• Secret Clearance
• A Level II Agent Handler certification from DPG or other Government facility

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
• 2 years laboratory experience
• Experience using Solid Sorbent Tube (SST) samplers and bubblers
• Proficient in gas chromatography, spectroscopy, and other analytical instruments
• Experienced with the chemical experimentation including set-up, operation, sampling, calibration, quality control, data collection, and troubleshooting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and complete work within schedule
