Job Description

STC is a science and engineering research and services support company with proven expertise and experience spanning research, development, test, and evaluation in areas including aerospace engineering, earth and atmospheric sciences, chemical and biological defense, military systems and technology, and software development.

Responsibilities:

This Scientific Program Management Specialist will demonstrate experience and understanding of funded research projects and managing complex projects and budgets. This specialist will work onsite and support program directors with solicitations and management plans, coordinate and plan workshops, and support all aspects of program management. Support the proposal review process with scheduling, panelist recruiting, review analysis, and reports and correspondence. Maintain calendars and milestones, coordinate interagency agreements, funding actions, and perform data analytics.

• Support program directors with data retrieval and analysis
• Prepare scientific documents, correspondence, presentations, and minutes for panels, site visits, and principal investigator meetings
• Operate with minimal technical guidance
• Ensure Program Directors are informed on project/program progress
• Coordinate working group activities
• Organize and prepare workshops and meetings

Education:

• Master’s degree in Computer/Information Science or Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Bachelor’s degree with additional experience will be considered.

Job Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• 7 years of experience performing research and managing software development and/or information systems research projects
• 3 years of project management experience with complex projects or budgets
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Advanced proficiency with MS products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and OneNote
• Proficiency with other productivity products such as Slack, Box, and OneDrive
