This position plays a key part in supporting M Financial’s product management and sales efforts by conducting research and analysis of competitor insurance products. This position collaborates with senior analysts to gather and synthesize competitive intelligence, maintain internal databases, and contribute to the creation of reports and presentations for internal stakeholders. This role offers an opportunity to develop expertise in the life insurance industry, gain valuable experience in competitive analysis, and helps shape the future of M’s product portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop Core Competencies in Competitive Analysis:
- Collaborate with senior analysts to maintain our competitive studies for M’s proprietary products and their key competitors
- Undergo comprehensive training to acquire proficiency in data gathering and analysis techniques for life insurance products.
- Master the utilization of M’s software tools for tracking product features and trends.
- Competitive Intelligence Gathering:
- Assist in the collection and organization of competitive intelligence data on life insurance products.
- Utilize various sources (e.g., competitor websites, industry publications, software) to gather product information.
- Maintain databases and internal tools used to track competitor product offerings.
- Product Management Team Support:
- Help create reports and presentations that summarize key findings.
- Assist in answering questions from our Member Firms about competitor products.
- Contribute to the development of materials that explain insurance concepts in a clear and concise way.
- Professional Development and Miscellaneous:
- Continually enhance knowledge of life insurance and investment products, financial software, taxation, and financial analysis methodologies and concepts.
- Provide support and product insights for sales support team.
- Maintain reports of key product features and parameters.
- Collaborate with the Project Management Office to develop proficiencies in project management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University with focus on business and relationship management
- Resourcefulness and critical thinking skills to resolve challenges and streamline processes
- Proficiency with Excel (data entry and formatting, creating and managing tables, data validation, executing macros)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong accuracy and precision in handling data and administrative tasks
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Clear and effective written and oral communication skills for a variety of mediums
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to analyze information, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.
You will also be eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus.

Job Conditions and Environment
- This position is based on-site at our offices in Uptown at the Quad in Dallas, TX with the flexibility to work one day remotely
- Normal office environment/desk assignment
- Extensive use of PC’s, computer terminal, display, keyboard, and mouse
- Extensive hands-on work with documents, spreadsheets, and other written documents
- Potential for light travel (up to 10%)
