VP, Advanced Markets Plan Design (Dallas, TX)

M Financial is seeking a VP, Advanced Markets Plan Design to provide client specific case support and design as a part of M’s Back Office Services for M Financial and Member Firms.  This role will work in collaboration with the Advanced Sales-Design team and other key contributors at M, and will be responsible for evaluating the feasibility of design concepts and providing strategic market and technical planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide proactive and reactive in-depth technical and client specific case modeling support to Member Firms and their clients on Advanced Sales concepts such as tax, estate planning, executive benefits, business planning, premium finance, charitable and retirement planning using life insurance.
• Provide client specific case modeling through eMoney or Money Guide Pro to support firms in life insurance and wealth planning scenarios.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Legal and Compliance on the creation (or maintenance) of collateral resources in a variety of formats to support M’s sales efforts.
• and implement systems in which to build and house M Firm templates and collateral.
• Attend industry events/seminars, including delivery of presentations on Advanced Sales concepts and thought leadership.
• Conduct technical tax and legal research and writing of Advanced Sales materials.
• Work closely with the Underwriting and Product Design teams to effectively assess market trends, Member Firm feedback, and changes in legislation and taxation, to strategically assess case designs and templates.
• Serve as a key expert, contributor, and partner on a variety of strategic planning development and execution activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree and JD required; LLM in taxation or similar preferred
• 10 years of extensive insurance, tax, legal and prior Advanced Sales experience
• Highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to effectively engage with senior executives, management teams, staff, and external stakeholders; demonstrated ability to lead through influence and work across cultural differences 
• Keen interest in serving as a working leader through driving strategic execution and delivering day to day success
• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and drive success in an innovative environment
• Ability to work with Member Firms directly to provide customized client specific work products.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.
You will also be eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus.
