Position Summary
In this role, you will work to achieve staffing objectives by identifying, screening, and collaborating with hiring managers to secure top talent within the industry for various roles. Additionally, the TA Specialist assesses candidate suitability, conducts interviews, and serves as a point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process. The TA specialist serves a vital role in the organization’s ability to maintain a high-performing workforce.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Certification in Human Resources (SHRM, PHR, etc.) preferred
- Experience in sourcing and screening candidates in a healthcare setting preferred
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and regulations
- Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency utilizing recruiting and onboarding technology
- Ability to effectively interact with associates at all levels
- Exceptional written and oral communication ability
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams, fostering effective communication and achieving shared goals.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Resourceful, highly organized, and able to effectively prioritize tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities
- Work hours assigned by leadership and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
- Manage the entire recruiting process from beginning to end, including development of job postings and management of recruiting requisitions.
- Collaborate with hiring managers on the scheduling of interviews and hiring logistics.
- Implement multiple recruiting channels to source candidates, including job boards, social networking media, professional organizations, search engines, etc.
- Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and level of service.
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Facilitate and perform reference and background checks to ensure candidate eligibility.
- Conduct screening interviews to assess candidates’ relevant knowledge, experience, skills, and cultural fit.
- Manage the recruitment database and application tracking system to keep candidate records, data and other pertinent information updated.
- Facilitate, coordinate, and engage in the interview process with hiring managers by questioning candidates on role-specific criteria to assess suitability for open positions.
- Advise and assist hiring managers in the candidate selection process.
- Complete new employee paperwork and assist with the orientation and onboarding of new hires.
- Build strong relationships with candidates, hiring manager, and external partners to ensure a smooth recruitment process.
- Stay up to date on recruiting and human resources industry trends and developments to promote effective recruiting practices.
- Contribute actively as an integral member of the Talent Acquisition team by participating in all team meetings, discussions, and activities aimed at enhancing talent acquisition strategy.
- Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Ethics and within the framework of applicable laws and regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
- Serve as a role model for other staff and candidates and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
- Assume other related responsibilities as delegated and assigned by leadership.
Schedule
- Hours: 8:30am - 5:00-pm (40 hours per week)
- Shift: Monday - Friday
Work Location
Rosecrance Management Group - Chicago, IL (Norwood Park neighborhood off the Cumberland Blue Line); Rockford, IL; Sioux City, IA
- Work Mode: Hybrid schedule available after training period (must be located within a drivable distance of applicable Rosecrance office)
Compensation & Rewards
- Base Pay: (pay is based on location, experience, and credentials)
- Rockford and Sioux City based starting at $60,000/year
- Chicago based starting at $73,000/year
- Incentives:
- $1,200/year with PHR or SHRM certification
