The Infrastructure Manager will have a key role in solution and enterprise architecture enablement and maturity growth within the IT group. It will be achieved by following the Brook’s Rehab vision and strategy and high contribution to IT team strategic priorities implementation. In the role, the manger will lead the team by driving the solutions, implementations, and documentation ensuring that we meet our businesses needs in availability, security, performance, and scale. The ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of platform technologies, networking concepts, IT frameworks, server administration, corporate processes, and a desire to continuously improve upon that knowledge to advance our enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Perform technical gap assessments in infrastructure systems administration services and prioritize recommendations
- Develop processes and perform ongoing design and configuration review of core IT services
- Identify gaps in best practice standards and develop remediation plans to reduce risk
- Develop automation practices to allow support and administration to scale more effectively
- Develop a robust monitoring framework that detects application and infrastructure level issues, performance problems, data resiliency and integrity problems
- Use data to provide metrics to allow for more strategic decision making, and measure ongoing success
- Actively work towards technical adoption of standard and implementation of procedures by being hands-on with the other IT teams business groups.
- Drives adoption of technology standards for to improve both Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity between all branches and datacenters aiming towards 99.99 uptime.
- Plan and Execute for Success: Must be able to perform Root Cause Analysis, plan for corrective actions and track it to closure as required
- Work collaboratively with internal team, other departments and functional teams to coordinate effective solutions
- Communicate clearly and concisely and adjust communication style to improve performance
- Handle all business matters ethically and in full compliance with our culture and values
- Have capacity to execute against set targets and a “can do” attitude
- Manages and supports daily work of Infrastructure and System Administrator tasks
Qualifications:
Required Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of current consecutive experience developing and/or deploying Infrastructure and Systems Administration technologies at an enterprise level
- Expert level of proficiency VMware and vSphere Virtual Infrastructure Experience in configuring clusters, support of SQL databases, Windows OS, experience supporting disaster recovery
- High level of proficiency in Active Directory and GPO management
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Exchange and migrations to O365
- High level of experience responding to system availability incidents
- Expert ability in installing/troubleshooting servers and configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements in a Windows environment
- Proficient knowledge of firewalls, data encryption, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and other industry-standard techniques and practices
- Manage and monitor highly complex systems, operating system software and applications
- Strong proficiency in implementing and supporting large-scale Windows systems, configuring networking and security, and applying system patches, security fixes, etc.
- Proven capability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to various audiences
- Working knowledge of deployment / hosting architectures including virtualized systems, application containers and cloud based solutions
- Understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits
- Proficiency with Backup operations using Veeam, Rubrik etc.
- Ability to lead a fast-paced team environment in all phases of IT activities
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, CIS Controls, NIST, and Cyber Security practices
- Understanding of how to monitor internal and external systems for anomalies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field; or equivalent experience
- Understanding of modern applications including both software / systems architecture and front-end design
- Windows PowerShell scripting
- Experience working with internal/external audits or assessments
Location: Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital at 3599 University Blvd South, Jacksonville, FL 32216. (Some driving may be required)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation: Experience, education and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
