What are the responsibilities and job description for the Musculoskeletal Research Program Coordinator, Part-time position at Careers?
The Musculoskeletal Research Program Coordinator (MSKRPC) participates in a variety of complex research related activities. The MSKRPC works closely with the musculoskeletal research program lead investigator to plan, develop, and conduct research studies related to musculoskeletal rehabilitation. The MSKRPC is also responsible for tracking the status of all musculoskeletal research related activities conducted through the Brooks Rehabilitation Clinical Research Center (BRCRC) and reporting this information to the research manager. The MSKRPC serves as a resource to study coordinators and Brooks clinical investigators involved in the planning and development of additional musculoskeletal research through the BRCRC. The MSKRPC may also be involved in the dissemination of research findings, clinical staff engagement, and promotion of the BRCRC and the musculoskeletal rehabilitation research program.
Responsibilities:
Regulatory and Policy
- Ensure compliance with BRCRC, Brooks Rehabilitation, and regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance on policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with IRB submissions and maintain knowledge of IRB policies.
Project Development
- Assist with protocol development, budget determination, and logistical planning.
- Facilitate communication and coordination within project teams.
- Liaison between project teams and BRCRC.
Funding and Grants
- Identify funding opportunities and assist with grant proposal preparation.
Recruitment
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies.
- Track recruitment activities and participant scheduling.
- Ensure adherence to appropriate recruitment and scheduling practices.
Research, Data, and Analysis
- Assist with data preparation, analysis, and interpretation.
- Identify and access necessary resources for data management.
Dissemination and Reporting
- Assist with identifying and pursuing publication and presentation opportunities.
- Report on project status, funding, IRB submissions, recruitment, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with the research manager to disseminate research findings.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a spokesperson for the specific research program.
Administration, Education, and Training
- Maintain required education and training.
- Identify and distribute resources.
- Communicate policy and procedure information.
Qualifications:
- Minimal qualifications include a master’s degree and professional license as an occupational or physical therapist with at least 3 years of previous research experience.
- Residency training and Board-certification (or equivalent) in an orthopedic specialty area of practice is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) required.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of materials, supplies, and/or equipment
