We are in search of a Proposal Writer for an International Humanitarian Aid Nonprofit Organization in either Washington D.C. or Phoenix, AZ . This is a Full-Time, Hybrid, Direct Hire role, with an annual salary range of $95,000-110,000 DOE plus benefits.
ORGANIZATION : International Humanitarian Aid Nonprofit
LOCATION : Washington D.C. or Phoenix, AZ
POSITION TITLE : Public Resource Development Proposal Writer
SCHEDULE : Full-Time (40 hrs. / wk.)
DURATION : Direct Hire
SALARY : $90,000 - 110,000 (DOE) plus benefits
Is This Your Dream Job? The Proposal Writer will help secure funding and resources from public funders to carry out the organization's mission and strategic priorities by writing compelling, competitive, compliant proposals and providing other writing support as needed.
Our Ideal Candidate :
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5 years of relevant experience in business development, international development, and / or humanitarian assistance.
- Success serving as the lead writer on multi-million-dollar proposals in the international development and / or humanitarian assistance sectors. Experience serving as the lead writer on winning multi-million-dollar USAID proposals preferred
- Good understanding of USAID priorities, strategies, policies, rules, and regulations
- Familiarity with one or more technical areas relevant to the organization's expertise and program model, such as health, education, economic empowerment, resilience, relief, humanitarian assistance, and WASH
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time per year
- Fluency in English is required; fluency in additional language(s) spoken in countries where the organization has offices is a plus
- Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software
- Passion for international humanitarian aid work through a Jesus-centric lens
