Job Summary
Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. Inspects materials, parts and products at different stages of production. Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes. Support, organize, and monitor the Quality Improvement/Compliance Program of the company ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the Food Safety Quality Program as well as collection from all required sources, including data analysis and records keeping.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Perform line checks and quality tests on in-process products
- Conduct environmental swabbing on plant equipment
- Data collection, data entry and record keeping
- Collect and compile production and quality records
- Inspect incoming raw ingredients and materials and complete inspection forms
- Inspect finished products and return products
- Perform laboratory testing such as pH, Brix, sensory, Bostwick, moisture, and water activity on in process and finished products
- Troubleshoot line issues in cooperation with supervisor and operation manager
- Administration of QA functions to ensure product quality and food safety conform to SQF standards
- Documentation of food safety and quality programs: GMP/ HACCP/SQF
- Ensure all SOPs are followed and take corrective actions when needed
- Monitor plant for GMPs, SOPs, personal hygiene, product handling and HACCP requirements
- Retain Sample Collection
- Sanitation verification
- Completes other projects and tasks as assigned by management.

Required Skills
- Familarity with consumer good industry.
- Reporting.

- Experience with (windows), Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
- Willingness to learn the technical aspect of the products
- Some baking experience is preferred
- Experience in Food Manufacturing a plus
- Experience in HACCP and SQF a plus
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelors's degree or relatable work experience.
- 1 years experience
- Bilingual a plus
Working Conditions
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
- Warehouse production environment
- Travel-Less than 10% of the time
- Standing majority of shift
- Noise typical of a production and warehouse environment, majority of shift
- Must be willing to work extended shifts
