Job Duties
- Manage terminal operations.
- Oversee/control all incoming product in terms of volume and quality.
- Responsible for the implementation and management of systems to plan and execute all blending operations, formulations and product shipments.
- Maintain and track all inventory to ensure that inventory meets customer requirements.
- Oversee vessel unloading and the shipping and receiving of product for international and domestic use.
- Function as company representative with the port authorities on facilities matters and product storage, movement, contractual obligations, and record keeping issues.
- Develop, test, and document systems to ensure product quality meets food safety and customer standards, and FDA requirements.
- Respond to changes in customer requirements through process and procedure changes and controls.
- Manage, develop, and maintain safety systems to meet or exceed OSHA guidelines and to comply with any other regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships and reporting systems with customs, USDA, FDA, and any other authorities to ensure compliance and positive results.
- Coordinate the development of receiving/shipping/blending schedules and plans.
- Budget, interview, select, recommend, hire, train and supervise assigned staff.
- Oversee initiatives related to identifying and implementing any range of technical improvements, efficiency, and cost control programs related to any area of the organization’s operations.
- Work with management team to identify areas of concern, define requirements, and predict potential impact of modifications.
- Develop operating budget with the immediate superior.
- Responsible for planning and control the facility budget and capital projects.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the Company EHS and HACCP.
Role Requirements
- 5 Years of operations work experience in food processing plants, minimum 3 years lead/supervisor role.
- Experience with pasteurization/sterilization process, aseptic storage, and quality controls.
- Ability to work with multi-disciplinary team supporting customer service.
- Familiarity with automation programs and controls.
