Production Manager 2nd Shift

Our client is a growing food manufacturer based in sentral NH. Due to growth, they are adding a second shift Production Manager to manage a new production line from 3pm to 12pm. This position will be responsible for overseeing all of the 2nd shift personnel for production and sanitation, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring a clean and hygienic production environment in the facility. While overseeing hourly personnel packaging product, motivating, delegating tasks and resolving conflicts and troubleshooting production and equipment issues. Relocation assistance is available.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor 2nd shift production operations and sanitation including, making instantaneous decisions, primarily without other leaders’ immediate involvement while on assigned shift.
- Oversees production goals and line standards (safety, productivity, quality, customer service and cost standards), helping online where needed.
- Ensure order accuracy and the process of First In, First Out, First to Expire (FIFOFE) is always maintained in accordance with requirements
- Compile, maintain and ensure all necessary records, inspection checklists, reports and logs are properly filled out.
- Oversee cleaning and inspection of equipment, assisting when necessary
- Properly resolve or refer personnel and operational issues as they arise
- Offer Production Manager all methods of improving the production or organization of work
- Ensures all specifications and procedures for quality assurance and control are met
- Establishes a strong team spirit in its departments by promoting communication and respect
- Is responsible for the integration and training of new employees in accordance with the company policy
Requirements
- Prefer candidate with a college degree but will consider candidates with relevant work experience
- Must have at least 5 yrs of food manufacturing experience
- Must have production management experience and have knowledge of sanitation in food manufacturing
- Must have supervisory experience
- Must be able to work independently
- Must have good computer skills
