Reporting to our Vice President of Operations, this person will be responsible for managing our existing manufacturing controls systems and leading efforts to drive further improvement in our processes.
Specific Responsibilities (the standard ones):
- Prioritize safety for our products and our people
- Manage and improve SCADA for the facility
- Manage and improve PLC code for equipment and controls processes as needed
- Support Manufacturing and Maintenance teams with Automation controls issues as needed
- Support Engineering and Manufacturing during new equipment commissioning
- Own commissioning of ancillary controls products and vision systems
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and other relevant specifications
- Collaborate to ensure Automation and other relevant projects are completed on time and within budget

- Ad hoc assignments as needed to support the business
We are looking for someone –
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
- Manufacturing experience – ideally in the food industry
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a fast paced, rapid response culture
- Advanced programming SCADA with Ignition (other platforms also considered)
- Advanced PLC programming, HMI configuration and setup, MSE management, etc.
- Advanced with Allen Bradley, Rockwell and Siemens equipment
- Preferred proficiency with Deacom or other ERP systems

WTI is located in Jefferson, Georgia, near the University of Georgia – Athens. Targeting $110K to $130K with 10% bonus. We offer a competitive salary including a performance bonus.
