Sr Director of Transportation Opportunity, Buffalo NY w/Relocation Supported and required
- Lead and develop a team of (4) direct reports and about 60 total scope members
- Successfully manage a robust budget of $250M for optimal results
- Manage the entire transportation network to exceed KPI's and stabilize the ever-changing network
- Carrier and Operations Management to include: contracts, vendor relationships, cost, service, vendor performance reviews
- Movement of Truckloads & Less-than-Truckloads. Modes = OTR mostly (over the road) and Intermodal
- Move finished goods, raw materials, packaging materials temperature controlled and ambient transportation
- Goal to Deliver best service at lowest cost
- Partner internally to support and improve efficiencies
- Prepare a “”ready mode”” for additional volume in mid 2026
- Shared service activity that involves working with multiple business units and their teams (internal customers)
- Must be good at financial analysis to understand budgets, analyze actual results, explain variances, come up with savings plans to close the variance
Qualifications:
- BS degree is highly preferred along with 15 years of progressive supply chain and transportation management experience in Food or dairy Industry
- Must have specialized knowledge with DOT, Federal Regulations, Fleet management, transportation contracts and carrier law
