Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to serve as program coordinator and center manager. The individual will oversee workforce programs and staff managed by CareerSource Chipola and as such the ability to navigate and understand state and federal rules and policies regarding programs such as the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Welfare Transition (WT), Wagner-Peyser (WP), and other workforce programs operated at the local level by our local workforce development board will be crucial to success.
The ability to multitask in a quick and efficient manner is required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation at the local level of workforce development programs operated by the board such as WIOA, WT, WP, and others.
- Serve as the manager for both career centers.
- Oversee case managers and customer service staff.
- Ensure local career center staff are provided proper training, oversight, and direction.
- Develop policies and procedures based upon requirements as provided by the local board that follow state and/or federal guidance.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff members to maintain a cohesive team.
- Research best practices in education to continuously improve program offerings.
- Foster relationships with community partners that help enhance the center's visibility and impact.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to multitask while maintaining focus on crucial tasks.
- Experience with federal workforce programs.
- Experience in recruiting and developing staff members.
- Ability to navigate a complex set of guidelines, rules, laws, and policies while maintaining an ability to move forward toward established objectives.
