JOB SUMMARY:
This position supports the team by providing training, guidance and other services to various CareerSource Pinellas participants to assure job placement and retention while meeting customer satisfaction goals. This position explains and informs participants of the various programs available at CareerSource and provides referrals for accessing community resources. This position will perform data entry, make phone calls, make copies, send emails, and file documents needed.

- Be part of a collaborative team using in-person, email, and phone support to rapidly resolve issues and inquiries, and deliver outstanding supporting to our participants.
- Focus primarily on CareerSource Pinellas’ programs, our work within the Career Resource Centers, and the job placement process.
- Think creatively and passionately about ways in which we can make every user interaction meaningful and provide the best customer experience possible.
- Refer participants to on-site and virtual job search trainings including resume writing, interview preparation, and computer skills, as appropriate.
- Provide knowledge of CareerSource Pinellas’ services and programs, providing referrals to community programs as appropriate
- Can identify participants’ interests, backgrounds, challenges, and goals in deciding what program(s) to recommend.
- Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns; demonstrate empathy while maximizing opportunity to build rapport with the customer.
- Clarify customer requirements; probe for understanding, use decision-support tools and resources to appropriately provide resolution to the customer.
- Provide guidance and instruction to participants on required activities.
- Deliver appropriate and timely job referrals.
- Assess participants activity in programs to ensure compliance with standards.
- Prepare reports of participants progress and achievements .
- Coordinate services with other CareerSource Pinellas departments and other partners.
- Enter case notes and supporting documents, and file paperwork.
- Coordinate and assist with program orientation presentations and workshops.
- Schedule appointments for participants.
- Provide clerical support to operations .
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of Federal & State laws and regulations relating to public employment services, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and other One-Stop Career Center programs incorporated through CareerSource Florida and the Department of Economic Opportunity.
- Knowledge of current standards for resumes and basic job requirements.
- Knowledge of the various programs that CareerSource provides.
- Knowledge of community services including housing, food, and clothing .
- Bilingual Spanish/English.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Office, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and Zoom
- Proven communication and computer skills, including typing and data entry.
- Deliver optimal customer-centered service, to include acting as the customer’s advocate.
- Proven time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to multi-task and respond quickly to changing goals, priorities and needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Stooping. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities and back muscles.
