What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Navigator position at CareerSource Research Coast?
CareerSource Research Coast currently has an opening for a Business Navigator in Martin County Center.
This is a full-time position whose primary responsibility is to build and manage relationships with business customers to develop long-term career opportunities for area job seekers and sustained economic vitality for those employers by determining the needs and appropriate service delivery methods.
The ideal Business Navigator will possess the following skills:
1. Demonstrated proficiency in selling goods or services either through cold-calling or scheduled meetings.
2. Extensive relationship management experience with customer/employer/public contact.
3. Experience working in a workforce development/staffing/recruitment environment, a plus.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both one-on-one and in a group setting skills.
5. Skilled in extensive computer usage, data entry, and proficiency in MS Office.
6. Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
7. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
8. Knowledge of the business community.
9. Knowledge of Employ Florida and local labor market information a plus.
10. Must be Workforce Development Professional –Tier 1 certified within the first 6 months of employment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum of two (2) years of extensive sales and relationship management experience AND
2. Bachelor’s degree in a related field (business administration, marketing, organizational development, etc.) OR
3. Five (5) years equivalent combination of related experience and education, with at least a H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
