MORE ABOUT THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING:

CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this Director of Nursing opportunity include, but are not limited to:

1. Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
2. Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations
3. Foster a caring environment that respects patient's dignity
4. Maintain a high quality of nursing care for individuals with psychiatric and mental health illnesses
5. Deliver and evaluate all patient care provided
6. Take the lead role in case of a medical or psychiatric emergency and therapeutically intervene and de-escalate patients
7. Be detail oriented to ensure that the blood collected meets regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused
8. Remain flexible to work a variable schedule that includes early start times, late end times, weekend, and holidays to meet the needs of sponsors and donors
9. Contribute to a friendly and fun environment; team up with co-workers to keep donors coming back repeatedly
10. Be a model of professionalism and compassion with serving as an ambassador to this organization

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING:

1. 1 years of recent nursing experience required
2. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
3. Successful completion of experience in leadership (i.e. head nurse, supervisor, etc.) for a minimum of one year.
4. Current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the Center's state.
5. This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs.
6. Must provide verification ofTST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy. TS Ts will be administered at the work site ifrequired.
7. Maintains current BLS/CPR certification (All SNFs and Behavioral Centers; ALFs/ILFs as required by State).
