We build industry-led, student-centered, modern youth apprenticeships through classroom and on-the-job learning providing flexible, alternative pathways to economic mobility. We have hundreds of CareerWise apprentices in the workplace, charting new paths to academic and career success. In addition, workforce and education leaders from across the country have visited CareerWise to learn about our youth apprenticeship model. As a result, our programs have launched in multiple states, leveraging our institutional knowledge, technology, and infrastructure.

Job Summary :
Reporting to the Director of Business Partnerships, the Senior Manager, Business Partnerships (BP) will identify and establish strategic partnerships with prospective businesses and industry collaborators that drive business growth.
What You’ll Be Doing :
BUSINESS PARTNER CHAMPION :
Enthusiastically engages with BPs and articulates the benefits of apprenticeship
Closely walks with BPs through implementation and onboarding steps
Builds trust quickly with BPs; finds ways to connect with other departments and / or teams within BPs to help increase CW presence and partnership
RESOURCEFULNESS :
Able to scope markets for prospective BPs
Utilizes networking platforms (like LinkedIn) to find direct contacts in industry-specific businesses
Offers to be a thought partner for existing and prospective BPs on how apprenticeship can be best implemented and utilized
STRATEGY :
Travels in / around Denver and throughout Colorado to meet and inspire prospective BPs to utilize apprenticeship as part of talent strategy
Closely collaborates with the Director and business leaders to brainstorm new roles for apprentices
Builds and executes industry-specific recruiting and hiring plans
Modifies and facilitates appropriate supervisor skill-building and support
SALESFORCE & DATA :
Proactively stays organized using Salesforce with business contacts and status
Tracks and analyzes key performance metrics related to partnerships and develops reports to assess success of partnerships and identify areas for improvement
May perform other duties as assigned
Key competencies to be successful in this role :
Understanding of and experience in building rapport and developing partnerships with a variety of businesses / industries
Strong project management background and experience
Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences
Appetite for unpacking the complexity of unique businesses
Ability to zoom in and execute in a region and also zoom out and influence national work
Problem-solving skills when supporting partners and / or resolving any problems that arise
Independently make decisions using deep knowledge / experience with the CW youth apprenticeship model
Track record of driving revenue growth through strategic B2B sales, delivering tailored service solutions to meet complex client needs while consistently exceeding quota targets and building long-term business relationships.
Demonstrates a commitment to the principles of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion)

Additional proficiencies :
Requires high emotional intelligence and strong relationship-building skills
Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Experience using a CRM and databases (preferably Salesforce)
Strong project management skills; successfully manages multiple projects simultaneously
Independently sets goals and meets deadlines; works collaboratively with other teams and partners
Experience and interest in working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

Location :
This role is based in Denver, Colorado. CareerWise staff typically work a hybrid work schedule with varying days in the office and other days remote. Remote work is not guaranteed and the schedule must be approved by the supervisor. There may be occasions (possibly 1-3 times per year) for staff to gather together in person. Exceptions will be made for special circumstances.
Compensation :
The salary range for this role is : $74,263 (min) - $90,176 (max) annually; this role is not covered by the minimum wage and overtime provisions of the FLSA. CareerWise offers a generous benefits package including group medical, dental, and vision plans, short-term disability, 100% vested 401k Plan with a 3% employer contribution, and Flexible Time Off.
