Job Summary :
The Patient Experience Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring patients and families receive a warm, personalized, and supportive experience throughout their stay. This role involves coordinating hospital-wide engagement programs, facilitating events, managing volunteers, and serving as a resource to ensure high-quality patient and family interactions.

Key Responsibilities
Enhancing the Patient & Family Experience :
- Plan and coordinate hospital programs, activities, and services that enrich the patient experience and reduce stress.
- Create engaging events and personalized services to foster a positive hospital stay for patients and their families.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure they understand hospital resources and support services.
Volunteer & Program Coordination :
Oversee, train, and support over 300 hospital volunteers and contracted vendors for programs.Ensure volunteers and vendors align with hospital values and policies while providing top-tier experiences for patients.Administrative & Operational Support :
Track, document, and analyze patient participation in events and programming to ensure the effectiveness of engagement initiatives.Maintain inventory of materials and donated goods to support hospital activities and patient needs.Assist with extended-stay patient accommodations, including reservations, background checks, and coordinating special requests.Hospital & Community Engagement :
Collaborate with hospital leadership and foundation teams to develop meaningful partnerships with corporate and community sponsors.Assist in planning and executing large-scale hospital events,Maintain cleanliness, safety, and infection control protocols in patient engagement spaces.Service Excellence & Support :
Provide emotional support, active listening, and guidance to families navigating the hospital experience.Assist with patient complaints, feedback, and service recovery to ensure a positive resolution.Participate in hospital-wide patient experience initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement strategies.Qualifications & Skills
Education :
Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.Experience :
1-3 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, ideally in patient experience, hospitality, or customer service.Language Proficiency :
Fluency in English required.Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred.Technical Skills :
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Ability to adapt to hospital software systems and data entry platforms.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.A compassionate, friendly, and service-oriented attitude with a desire to improve patient experiences.Why Join Us?
