What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ultrasound Tech position at CareFirst Wellness Associates?
Payment options: fixed, per day, by procedure or by hour.
Example of Duties:
1. Performs ultrasound exams (surveys area of interest) based on knowledge of procedures and practices.
2. Provides patient care throughout all duties performed. Identifies patient, verifies orders for procedure (s), and assesses patient’s condition. Follows SPMC policies regarding patient confidentiality, infection control patient risks, safety codes, and patient assessments notifying radiologist when necessary.
3. Selects technical factors rendering optimal visualization of the area of interest while limiting patient’s exposure to diagnostic ultrasound energy.
4. Selects appropriate image for printing.
5. Positions patient for desired view of requested exam.
6. Explains procedures to patient.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
