Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic team member to assist at our Carefree Boat Club location. This role is responsible for helping with daily operations, communicating with staff, ensuring a top-tier member experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on individual with strong business acumen, customer service expertise, and a passion for boating. This position is temporary/seasonal (ends in October), part-time approximately up to 40 hours per week, and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist members with boat reservations and check-ins/check-outs.
- Conduct thorough boat orientations for new members, ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on boats and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the boating facilities and dock area.
- Uphold safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Gain knowledge of local waterways, safety guidelines, and any relevant information that can support members while on the water.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods, with an emphasis on staying hydrated.
Customer Service & Member Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Address member inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Uphold a positive, collaborative team environment at your club location, working effectively with associates and team members.
Team Duties:
- Be aware of each team member's responsibility with the willingness to help.
- Foster a positive and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience in customer service, boating, hospitality, or recreation industry.
- Be at least 16 years old, valid driver's license, and successfully pass a background and educational check.
- Strong team cooperative skills.
- Knowledge of boating operations, safety regulations, and maintenance preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Boating certifications or willingness to obtain them (e.g., USCG Captain’s License) is a plus.
