What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Specialist position at Careful Care?
Careful Care is seeking reliable, compassionate, and self-motivated individuals to join our growing team as Housing Stabilization Specialists. In this role, you'll work directly with individuals experiencing housing instability to help them find, secure, and transition into safe, long-term housing.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Support a caseload of 8–10 transitioning clients at a time
- Assist with housing searches, applications, and scheduling showings
- Help clients gather documents (IDs, income verification, etc.)
- Provide education around lease terms, budgeting, and tenant rights
- Coordinate move-in logistics and document progress weekly
- Maintain consistent weekly contact with each client
- Log ~4 billable hours per client/week (tracked by external billing system)
- Collaborate with landlords, property managers, and support agencies
- Participate in weekly team meetings and KPI reviews
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:
- Have 1–2 years of experience in housing support, case management, or social services
- Are passionate about helping individuals with disabling conditions overcome barriers to stable housing
- Are dependable, organized, and confident managing your own schedule
- Communicate well with diverse populations and professionals
- Are comfortable using Google Workspace and basic client tracking systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.29 per hour
