What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver Weekend Mornings position at Caregiver for Samuel Hergenrather?
I’m a friendly, physically disabled (quadriplegic) man looking for healthy, reliable caregiver to provide care and personal assistance in Sebastopol home. Starting in January.
Experience is not necessary. This is a private hire position, not IHSS.
Saturday schedule 10am-12pm and Sunday from 10am-1pm.
With flexibility as shifts may be slightly longer or shorter as needed.
Occasionally, other shifts may be available for fill-in if you choose.
Sat mornings; non shower days, no bowel care
Sun mornings; shower bowel care day
Saturday Morning Duties include:
- Occasional meal prep
- General housekeeping
- Help with basic selfcare
- Transfer from bed to wheelchair
- Dressing
- Assist with light stretching
Sunday Morning Duties include:
- Occasional meal prep
- General housekeeping
- Help with basic selfcare
- Showering and bowel care
- Transfer from bed to shower chair/ bed to wheelchair
- Dressing
- Assist with light stretching
Ideal candidates:
- Caring
- Reliable
- Free from artificial fragrances (natural is ok)
- Non smoking
- Able to lift and do transfers
- Flexible and able to adapt to change
- Calm
- Available long term
- Positive, friendly personality, and a great sense of humor
- Good communication skills
- Working cell phone and reliable reception
- Email address that is checked regularly
- Reliable transportation
- Available for occasional on-call or emergency fill-in is a plus
- Can do attitude and a willingness to learn
Starting rate $21hr and is paid bi-weekly. Must be able to accept pay electronically via Zelle, PayPal, or CashApp
Training will be provided by myself and a current caregiver to show you everything you need to know. I am very patient and will support you through tasks.
