What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foster Care Licensing Assessor position at Caregiver's Helper, Inc?
A private, non-profit organization that provides foster care services, is seeking one more licensing specialist to conduct home studies and licensing of foster homes on a part-time basis. The need for an additional licensing person is as a result of high demand and growing pains. The candidate chosen for the position will work flexible hours and be able to set own schedule, assuming it ensures foster parent's licensing needs are met timely. Candidates must love working with people from all racial and social-economic backgrounds, and good interpersonal skills.
Specifically, the chosen candidate will regularly collect and input every necessary data / information about new applicants for foster care, as well as existing foster parents, into the State automated system progressively.
- Schedule pre-service training for potential parents or link them with provider agencies.
- Document contacts, update information in automated data system, and ensure accuracy.
- Conduct home visits and complete home study write-ups as required.
- Develop individual training needs assessment and training plan for each family on vase load.
- Work closely and collaboratively with foster acre staff, give and receive support.
- Cooperative work with agency director for ongoing guidance and support.
