What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foster Care Manager position at Caregiver's Helper, Inc?
A non-profit, private foster care agency is seeking appropriate candidates to work with foster families and the children placed in their homes. To be selected for the positions, candidates must have a clean background check (BCI & FBI) and be willing to submit to other required state and national checks.
The specific duties associated with this position are :
- Supervision of foster homes to ensure foster caregivers are consistently maintaining compliance with foster care rules and regulations.
- Promote and ensure safety and appropriate growth of children on assigned case load.
- Collaborate with custodial agency workers for prompt referrals and linkage with specialized services providers.
- Provide education / training, guidance, and support to caregivers during crisis and behavioral challenges.
- Encourage and facilitate positive communication and teamwork.
- Write and submit relevant reports.
