Job Summary
Caregivers at Home welcomes all outstanding caregivers to apply for open positions. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for our clients and their families. We assist with light housekeeping and personal care. These services include, but are not limited to, bathing, dressing, toileting, sweeping, mopping, dusting, taking out trash, cooking, cleaning kitchen and bathroom, laundry and errand running.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Assist with medication as prescribed.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations and respecting resident rights.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Assist with mobility while ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting independence and facilitating community engagement.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, group home settings, or senior care is preferred.
- Knowledge of resident rights and HIPAA compliance is essential.
- Ability to assist with mobility needs.
- Familiarity with medication assistance protocols is a plus.
- Experience working with people with disabilities or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are crucial for success in this role.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.
