Direct Support Providers/Caregivers- Afternoons

CareGivers Plus Home Health Care was the Valley's 1st independent home care company established in 1994. Our 30 years serving our Valley seniors and respected reputation means we have a continuous flow of clients and consistent hours that we can offer our caregivers. We create flexible custom work schedules for each team member. Our caregivers tell us when they are available to work.

Immediate openings for mid-day/afternoon hours with client in need of services starting about lunchtime and into the early evening. These are not set shifts and still have flexibility as to the final hours that work best for you. Clients are located in Sharon through Eastern Hermitage areas. We sometimes visit with more than one client during the day, so a valid driver's license and your own transportation is a must.

Previous experience is great but not required and training is available. If you want to help others, we welcome you! We are looking for compassionate, reliable individuals who are dedicated to providing high-quality care to our clients. Many of our clients are Veterans. Responsibilities:
Caregivers/Direct Care Workers provide hands on personal care and housekeeping, assistance to elderly and disables individuals. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, toileting, incontinence care, meal preparation, medication reminders.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Light housekeeping, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, organizing and laundry.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
• Transportation, shopping, running errands- if needed.
• Ability to lift using safe management techniques - in some circumstances
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Follow care plans and communicate any changes or concerns to supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have DRIVER'S LICENSE and THEIR OWN RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION!
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Possesses maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands.
• Comfort and willingness to assist clients with personal hygiene needs.
• Criminal background clearance, TB and drug screening.
• RELIABLE and RESPONSIBLE with a willingness to work.
• Strong behavior management skills to handle challenging situations with compassion and patience.
