Openings for overnight caregiver/Direct Care Worker in Sharpsville, PA. Position is providing supervision and care for an elderly client overnight, Saturday night 8pm-8am. This overnight position requires caregiver to remain awake for the duration of the shift. Client is physically independent with assistance. Client has Dementia and requires prompting and supervision to complete tasks. Schedule is Saturday overnight 8pm-8am. 12 hours weekly. May require switching days with another caregiver as needed to ensure client is not alone at night. Option to pick up additional open shifts with this client.
*Must have DRIVER'S LICENSE and THEIR OWN RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Possesses maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Criminal background clearance, TB and drug screening.
- RELIABLE and RESPONSIBLE with a willingness to work.
- Positive and upbeat attitude
- Must be patient and comfortable working with Alzheimer's and Dementia. Training is available.
Responsibilities:
Caregivers/Direct Care Workers provide personal care as directed including but not limited to:
- Grooming, bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders.
- Light housekeeping, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, organizing and laundry.
- Ability to lift using safe management techniques
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
